Growing up, I always had a pencil and a sketch pad within reach. I definitely had a passion for drawing and sketching as a kid, and it's translated into different mediums now as an adult. I was born and raised in Akron, OH where many of my weekends consisted of walking to the local card & comic shops checking out the train graffiti on the way. My friends and I would buy comics, sketch paper, and pencil sets - with what little money we had at the time - and spend hours drawing. We were constantly mocking up countless "home-made" comic books and stories.

As I got older, I moved into different mediums, paints, markers, sculpting with different materials, and combinations of all these to represent my work. I feel like my work today, is still heavily influenced by the comic style art and graffiti I grew up loving. So when I work on different mediums, it definitely shows through.
